The project has begun. On 3 March, the Steering Committee of the AgriSPIN project met in the Office of the VLK in Berlin. All the formalities are settled, and that is not an easy job in an EU project like this: thanks to the Danish project management. The spirit is still excellent. We still subscribe the concept ofo building on the experience and insights of the partners. No one pretends to know better than the others. This is co-creation. Beautiful.

The responsibilities are divided into six work packages:

WP1: Framework and Guidelines (the scientific guidance)

WP2: Cross-Visits

WP3: Evaluation of Best Practices

WP4: Institutional uptake

WP5: Communications

WP6: Project Management.

Professor Andrea Knierim (Hohenheim) has the lead in the scientific team. I will organize the cross-visits. Ilse Geyskens (Innovatiesteunpunt Boerenbond, Flanders) takes care of capturing experiences in videos and written material that are easily accessible for practitioners. Fabio Boscaleri (Tuscany) focusses on the relationships with regional authorities, in charge of the enabling environment for intermediaries and innovating entrepreneurs. Communication (Liselotte Schou Hansen) and project management (Heidi Hundrup Rasmussen) belong to the responsibilities of the Danes.

I am now trying to retrieve stories from all partners about their most interesting innovations. This is a kind of baseline study, as a starting point for the project.  On April 24 all partners will be together for the kick-off meeting. That is to take place in Copenhagen Zoo, with views on the tropical birds. The Danes know how to select nice locations to meet.   {/lang}
